5. The Gamer

Jihan Hans initially seems like a typical high school student, but little do they know that he had acquired the special ability to view his surroundings as a video game. The audience could only wrap their heads around it, that they witnessed Jihan stumbling upon a hidden world full of people just like him.

The story revolves around Jihan juggling between his normal life and the struggle to utilize his newly-found powers to level up his life. Jihan can see the powers of other people, allowing him to view the stats of an apparently normal item, acquire abilities, and level up. With this manhwa, you will get a chance to follow Jihan as he learns how to effectively use his powers and discovers where he belongs, and where he came from. The narration of the story only gets better as the manhwa progresses. It’s not your typical shonen action story and is easily enjoyable for anyone who seeks a good time.

Though many people do not have a lot of experience with Korean comics, this is a potentially good start and a breath of fresh air. It’s simple and easy to follow for those who are new to it which makes the experience feel closer to heart.

4. Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint

Kik Dokja – the MC, doesn’t see himself as a hero. His only interest revolves around perusing web books; very on-brand for his name. For a significantly long period of more than 10 years, Kiki Dokja lived vicariously through Yu Junghyeok – the foundational character of the web novel “Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse” (TWSA). Following Junghyeok, Kiki Dokja handed down the preliminaries more than once, allowing him to relapse on schedule. He looks for a finish to some of the hazardous situations that propel individuals to continue stories for the entertainment of God-like creatures, formally known as Heavenly bodies.

Following the perusing of 3149 parts at length, Dokja finally surrenders to finish the story. He gets a surprising message from the creator, indicating that before the environmental factors abruptly become dull, the story will be adapted. This makes Dokja understand that fiction has become a reality and in the present, he is currently surviving TWSA. Despite the fact that he is the all-knowing peruser of the occasions, there is no assurance of his accomplishments in the situations. This might, however, lead him to discover a heroic job that had never fit him before.

3. Magi

Set in a magical world filled with djinn’s magi, a dungeon-conquerer, the story follows the adventures of Aladdin. Aladdin along with the show’s second protagonist, Alibaba aims to capture dungeons and seek their riches. Before you get confused by the name Aladdin, know now that he is not the Aladdin we love and remember from our childhood. This Aladdin is as mysterious and enigmatic as the dungeon he seeks, without Princess Jasmine.

Fret not for this Aladdin is one of a kind, and the entire storyline is bound to leave you enticed. The manga has already finished so this is a perfect addition to your binge-read list. While the story’s conclusion may not have been the best, it was certainly well crafted with a unique and risky twist. Every chapter of the manga is enough to keep you interested and craving for more. Magi is certainly one of the best mangas out there.

2. Dark Blood age

Set in a fictional world where some mysterious phenomenon caused the earth to be plunged into darkness, dark blood age is about humanity on the brink of extinction. The story follows Chu Yunsheng, an ordinary white-collar worker who one day mysteriously discovers a family heirloom book. This book warns him about the disappearance of the sun but despite his efforts to warn everyone, no one believes him until one day, the sun vanishes. The book also predicts the start of a new era allowing the MC to gain new abilities.

Unlike other manhwas of the same genre, this one is focused strongly on the psychological development of the mc. He does not gain superhuman strengths in just a day, he has to struggle for them and win fights. Dark Blood Age is not your typical post-apocalyptic storyline and is definitely a must-read for anyone who enjoys intense psychological thrillers.
